We’ve wanted a dog for a long time but with a small condo, two resident
cats, and full-time jobs, we didn’t think it would happen any time
soon. Then, a couple of months ago, I saw a dog trainer on tv
talking about dogs and apartment living. I talked to
Michael about it, did a bunch of research, and we decided to go for it.
While doing all that research, I found a lot of information about
training, housebreaking, and feeding, but very little about doing all
of that while sharing a space with two spoiled, unsocialized, indoor cats. So here is one
family’s story about what is and isn’t working for us.
Humans:
Michael and Kim. Also not adequately socialized.
Cats:
Bailey and Asrael. Cats. Both 7 years old, male, neutered, indoor only.
Dog:
Ruby. Boston terrier. Born March 10, 2009.
